Provides scheduled weekend on-call response for Deflection and LEADS referrals from law enforcement, hospitals, EMS, and community partners. The position is assigned Friday through Sunday for eight paid hours per day, with compensation guaranteed regardless of call volume or whether a response is requested. When contacted during the scheduled on-call period, the responder engages individuals with substance use, mental health, or housing needs using trauma-informed, recovery-oriented practices; connects them to treatment, housing, and community resources; and helps reduce unnecessary incarceration and emergency department utilization.
