About ReConnections Counseling

Whole Person, Individualized, Wrap-Around Care.

ReConnections was established in Newport, Oregon, in 1997, and has been growing ever since, adopting and implementing an ever-expanding umbrella of care and services to meet the needs of our clients. At ReConnections, we believe in treating the whole person, which means we not only focus on substance disorder-related issues, but also on social determinates of health.  It has been our experience that this "whole-person" approach - which builds upon an individual's strengths - increases the likelihood of long-term success, and sustainability, of their sobriety and life goals.

"I remember the first day I walked in the doors to ReConnections Counseling about 7 years ago. I was miserable, broken, fed up, and needed help. Through the years the staff consistently supported me and walked with me through my healing process. They literally loved me until I could love myself and thanks to the nonjudgemental support, I celebrate 5 years of continuous sobriety. Thank you all for the support, compassion, and hope you gave me..."

"When I came to Reconnections in 2009, I was a pregnant, abused woman, homeless, and newly sober. Because of the lifestyle I had led, I had a serious mistrust of women and relationship issues with men. My counselor worked with me individually to help me gain the tools and skills to lead a productive life outside of a relationship. The group leader taught a women's group that radically changed me and helped me learn how to develop trusting friendships with other women that I am still friends with today. ReConnections was an important part of my foundation on which I built a life and now have over 12 years of recovery."
